Shape Shifter Scarf & Pattern

I've had the Shape Shifter Scarf on the brain lately (is it the shifting seasons perhaps?). I love the first iteration, but couldn't resist the temptation to take it one step further, breaking the continuous line of the front with the coral garter stitch. It may not look like it in the photos, but I am very happy with this one so I am releasing the pattern. This Shape Shifter was knit in Classic Elite Soft Linen. Its a blend of wool that is perfect for cooler weather, and linen that gives it a nice drape. This particular scarf, as well as the pattern, is listed in the shop. I've somehow neglected to make one for myself, and I'm eyeing Knit Picks CotLin in Planetarium. Or maybe something in all wool for legitimately cold weather.

Rainbow Wrap

At the moment I am pretty hot for shawl-style wraps. I want to feel a little bit like Elizabeth Bennet, intent on embroidering a screen or playing a concerto, but I don't actually want to look like her. I prefer a no frills wrap, condensed down to a few simple elements.

And, maybe you've noticed, I love color. But I don't always love it on me. I am most often wearing jeans and a gray t-shirt. Behold the genius of the Rainbow Wrap. It is color, for those with commitment issues. The body of the scarf is a lovely neutral, medium weight wool and the edges are pixie bonnet scraps, which we are drowning in around here.

This wrap is in the shop, but I WILL be making another one for myself. This scarf makes me happy.
