I'm going to have one cozy toddler this winter. Although, looks are deceiving.
The whole photo session went more like this.

A Sweater for L
As mentioned last week, L had a birthday a few weeks ago. I had the best intentions of knitting her a sweater, because I always think I have more time than I actually do, and that I will make things much faster than I actually can. So, L got a remade sweater. One that was in my Etsy shop, until I have decided to tear off the unisex color scheme, and girl it up with a jumbo, pink, vintage (of course) button and a small calico print.

New for November
At little sneak peek at what's new for November. I've been working on this thing for entirely too long, but finally found just the right vintage buttons. If I had made it bigger (or maybe faster) I would be keeping this one for L. This fits up to 12 months, but is modeled by a much bigger baby. The Shawl Collar Baby Coat sizing is incredibly versitile. Just one of the new additions I hope to have in the shop when it reopens at the end of the week.

New Baby
To keep a new little baby I know warm and toasty through the Irish winter. The Pale Pink Ribbed Pixie Bonnet, with a covered button. The Shawl Collar Baby Coat in Heather Grey with Pale Pink trim and covered buttons to match the bonnet. Love this combination, wish it didn't take me so long to finish. I've got another (hopefully) unisex one in the works for the shop.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race.
At least that's what I'm hoping.
Here comes the tortoise on an internet full of hares. I'm slowly plugging away at my summer to-do list. I get tons of knitting done when its always cold outside and it gets dark at 5pm. I find it much harder to focus when there is a garden to tend, and flip flops to find. So, here's a little update from a few weeks ago. I have another on the blocking mat, and would love to have both finished, and photographed together, before we are all old and grayer than this luscious yarn.

Vacation Knits
I'm not completely sold on this yellow. I like the idea of pale gray and golden yellow, but I'm just not sure this is the right hue. I have a great floral fabric I'm going to throw into this mix, which I'm hoping will pull it all together. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Now, back to the more seasonally appropriate decision of whether or not to buy a pool pass.

Shawl Collar Baby Coat
In a moment of clarity I realized I already had both yarns and these great vintage button.
L wears this jacket everywhere. I'm calling it a 12-24 month, but the boxy fit and 3/4 length sleeves allows for a lot of growth. I hope to have this pattern in the shop in the next few weeks, after some thorough testing.Get the pattern. More Shawl Collar Baby Coat Styles.
